Our Story
Keith Pajinag’s culinary career began early on, inspired by his mother, Ofelia’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for the kitchen. After graduating from Juneau-Douglas High School and spending sometime in the Pacific Northwest, Keith was asked to take the helm of one of his mother’s successful restaurants. “I learned a really hard lesson that you can’t learn in school and that is, that owning a business isn’t glamorous or easy, it takes passion, drive and the right people.”
Years later, after having the privilege of working with several great chefs at luxury hotels on the West Coast, and being offered the opportunity to run several kitchens on his own, Keith was asked by his mother if he’d like to run yet another one of her restaurants, Johnny’s.
